connecton problem ???

in simpler words... our connection uses the APCN2 cable... and due to the earthquake last nite near taiwan.... a few of the submarine cables are damaged... thus our connection being affected.. that was during this morning... here's a picture of where the APCN2 cable covers...

because if that, we cannot access any websites that are hosted off our turf.... can only access malaysian based webs such as maybank2u.com.my ..... ummm.... tm.net.my .... yada yada yada....

now they're trying to re-route our connection to dunno where lah... but ain't working well for me...

look at the response time mang... arghh... 4 times my normal 200 miliseconds.... !!!! then summore loss packets occur from time to time.... derno...

okay... enough bout the story which most wudn't wanna hear.. got one way out.... that is if you're having problems getting in to international webs... and you really need to surf.... here's what you can do...

try these ip addresses.....

Firefox:
Click Tools -> Options, then select "Advanced", -> click on "Network" tab. Click "Settings" button, tick "Manual Proxy Configuration", and enter the IP and port.
tick "use this proxy server for all protocols", click OK...done "

IE:
Click Tools -> Internet options.
Click Connection tab -> Lan Settings
on the proxy server section, tick "user a proxy server...."
enter the IP and port, then tick "bypass proxy server for local address", click OK..done "


should be able to work... but if not.. you can try to get some other proxys from here and here.... try and get an aussie proxy worh.. some say very good... hehehehe.. derno....
